Giants Of Discovery
Giants Of Discovery is the solo project of Kevin Downey.
He describes himself as an "Electronic artist. Engaging in Victorian cosmic horror, Greek mythology and modular soundscapes".
Although releasing music as part of the duo, The Delian Pool, Downey needed another vehicle for the electronic music that he was creating and so Giants of Discovery came into existence around 2019. The self-released Out of Time album was released on cassette in March 2020. This was followed up in June 2020 by another self-released album, Practical Dreamers, this time on CD. A third release, Monuments, in October the same year was released on CD through Woodford Halse. A second release on Woodford Halse, Orpheus, followed in June 2021. In March 2022 The Language of Vibration was released on cassette via Waxing Crescent Records. In June 2022 Out of Time was re-released on vinyl and cassette onThe Library Of The Occult label.
