Xingu Hill
John Sellekaers is an electronic music composer and producer. He gained recognition with his three albums under the Xingu Hill moniker on Nova Zembla in the mid-90s and has since built a substantial discography of nearly ninety records, experimenting with different aliases such as Xingu Hill, Night Sky Pulse, Meeple, Feral Cities, Tuttle & Buttle, Nicolas Hall, Concrete Garden, and Dead Hollywood Stars.
His music has been released by respected labels including Glacial Movements, Parenthèses Records, Subexotic Records, See Blue Audio, Falt, Oreille Gardée, Fallen Moon Recordings, Traumgarten, Heol Ddu, Ant-Zen, Hymen Records, Hushush, and Nova Zembla. John has performed extensively worldwide and has collaborated with artists such as Patrick Graham, Brian Evenson, Black Lung, Mick Harris, Mark Spybey, Cedrik Fermont, and Olivier Moreau. In addition to his work in music production, he has also contributed to remixes and soundtracks.
John is Belgian-Canadian and currently lives in Brussels, Belgium.
